You wouldn’t want this pair living next door to you, would you?

A father and daughter find themselves in trouble when new neighbours move in. The mother feeds her lazy son by turning into a hare and transferring the goodness from her neighbours’ animals to her own skinny beasts and hence to her son’s plate.

The resourceful dad uses the well-known old remedy of the silver sixpence, fired through the barrel of a gun, to stop the witch and send the son off to the Job Centre.

This film was made in 1996 with the help of Gaelic pupils from Alva and Callander High Schools, as part of the “Gaelic Galore” series.
