In the West Highlands, the tiny Midgie is far from being a mythological animal.

During the summer months, midges can grow to gigantic proportions and stop self-respecting human beings from leaving their houses for large parts of the day - especially in the early morning and evening.

This film was made by children in the Gaelic Medium Unit of Acharacle Primary, Ardnamurchan, 1995.
